Union City Leisure Services is holding its First Annual Young Artist Faire. This event is open to residents of the Bay Area who are between 6 and 19 years of age.
The Young Artists Faire is open to all forms of art which include but are not limited to: photography, painting (water color, oils), sculptures, ceramics, etc. A maximum of two pieces can be submitted. Please make copies of the entry form if you are submitting more than one piece. Each entry must include a separate entry form.
Artwork will only be accepted from the original artist. You must have permission from all subjects if your artwork displays specific person(s)/model(s). A signed waiver must be included for each person/model. No artwork will be accepted without a complete entry form(s) and waiver(s). All federal, state, and local laws apply. If your artwork is selected to be in the faire, it must be ready for display (specifications on "ready for display" will follow in an acceptance letter).
All artwork will be displayed at Paddy's Coffee House through the month of April. Those who are accepted into the faire will be notified by Wednesday, March 26. There will be a special reception to recognize the participating artists on Saturday, April 26, at Paddy's Coffee House in Union City.
All entries will be reviewed by a panel of city officials and art enthusiasts. It is the job of the panel to be sure that all submissions meet the aforementioned guidelines. All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
