One of the world's preeminent jazz innovators, trombonist and seashellist Turre has consistently won several awards. Turre will be performing with the Chabot College Jazz Orchestra as well as the college's award-winning student group, the Jazz Ensemble. Steve Turre's career includes performances with jazz greats including Ray Charles, Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, McCoy Tyner, and J.J. Johnson.
