February 27, 2008 > Spanish Dual Immersion Program Spanish Dual Immersion Program Submitted By Karen Mangon Burbank Elementary in Hayward will be holding a parent meeting for the Spanish Dual Immersion Program on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. in the elementary school. Burbank's Dual Language Immersion Program brings together native English speakers and native Spanish speakers in a unique opportunity to learn both languages. Students are taught all in Spanish for approximately half of the day and all in English for the remainder of the day. Interactive lessons encourage students from both language groups to help each other to understand, speak, read and write one another's language.
