February 20, 2008 > Field trip to Oakland Museum Field trip to Oakland Museum The public is invited to join the Olive Hyde Art Guild on a trip to the Oakland Museum of California for a docent led tour of "Artists of Invention - California College of the Arts -100 Years in the Making." The exhibition is a display of 100 students' works of art out of the thousands who have graduated from the school which was founded by Frederick Meyer with 43 students and $45. It is now the largest regionally accredited independent school of art in the western U.S. and is celebrating it 100th year anniversary. The trip will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 27.
