Field trip to Oakland Museum
The public is invited to join the Olive Hyde Art Guild on a trip to the Oakland Museum of California for a docent led tour of "Artists of Invention - California College of the Arts -100 Years in the Making."
The exhibition is a display of 100 students' works of art out of the thousands who have graduated from the school which was founded by Frederick Meyer with 43 students and $45. It is now the largest regionally accredited independent school of art in the western U.S. and is celebrating it 100th year anniversary.
The trip will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Meet at Fremont BART at 10 a.m. Museum entrance fee is $5 and $3.50 for seniors. Call or email Martha Crowe at (510) 792-7217 or marthacrow@sbcglobal.net for reservations. |
