Blanket day
Submitted By Alice Reiley
Project Linus is a National non-profit organization, and 100 percent volunteer. Project Linus provides love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort through the gift of blankets and quilts to children who are seriously ill or traumatized.
On Saturday, Feb. 16, Project Linus will be holding "Blanket Day." We will be making quilts and knitting and crocheting blankets from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Unity Church in Fremont. You are invited to come and join us to help make quilts. You do not need to know how to sew to help. Though, some useful items you can bring are a sewing machine, rotary cutter, and knitting or crochet project.
Drop in for the day or just come by to say hello. Water and snacks will be provided, but you are welcome to bring a snack to share.
Or more information, call Alice Reiley at (510) 792-9990 or email sfeastbaylinus@sbcglobal.net.
