January 30, 2008 > Volunteer forum at Washington Hospital West Volunteer forum at Washington Hospital West Submitted By Raymond Grimm, Ph.D. Pathways to Positive Aging presents "Coming of Age: The Power of the 50+ Volunteer" on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at Washington Hospital West in Fremont. The forum is a great outlet for non-profit organizations, government and businesses. Keynote speaker Jan Masaoka, former Executive Director of CompassPoint, will discuss how to create meaningful opportunities for the 50+ volunteer. There will be a panel discussion, then breakout sessions, on topics such as recruiting volunteers from the immigrant community, nurturing the volunteer, and effective marketing strategies one can use. Lunch will be provided, and registration to the forum is recommended. The event costs $25 if you register ahead, or $30 at the door.
