Take classes and check off your New Year's resolutions
Submitted By Susan May
When Jennifer and Sandor Vestrepen of San Lorenzo finally decided to take the dance lessons they always dreamed of, they found a low-cost, conveniently located Ballroom Dancing class right in their backyard in Chabot College's Community Education Program. They were soon whirling around the dance floor - and now they are hooked.
"We found out we love dancing together, and we had a great experience at Chabot," said Sandor, a physical education teacher at Alvarado Middle School in Union City. "We had a great instructor, and it was a relaxing, social environment with very little pressure."
Ballroom dancing is just one of more than 100 classes offered by the Community Education Program that may fulfill some of your New Year's resolutions and maybe even change your life! Besides dancing, you can learn to play the guitar, organize your photographs, improve your vocabulary, boost your memory, speak Spanish, do your own electrical repairs, and much more.
For a listing of all classes and to register online, go to www.chabotcollege.edu/comed or register by phone or get a printed copy of the catalog by calling (510) 723-6665. |
