December 26, 2007 > Niles Rotary 70 years young Niles Rotary 70 years young Submitted By David Hembree The Niles Rotary's 70th Anniversary Party and Christmas celebration took place at CiCi's Italian Ristorante in downtown Niles. Festivities included a lovely dinner, dancing and a rousing rendition of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" by all in attendance. Amid the holiday cheer, Niles Rotarians took time to honor the history of the oldest Rotary club in the Fremont area. A group game of trivial pursuit, Niles version, took place as questions about the first meeting place, past presidents and what constituted a hefty fine in 1937 stumped the usually sharp crowd. There were a few historians who were able to educate the rest of the group with the right answers as the Niles Rotary Club celebrated 70 years of service above self in the local community.
