December 12, 2007 > Support Special Education Ball Support Special Education Ball Submitted By Tiffanie Rodriguez-Jackson On Feb. 29, 2008 American High School is presenting the 4th annual Special Education Ball. The ball serves students from the Newark, Fremont and New Haven School Districts (Tri-City schools). For the past three years this dance has been a great success, in part to the generous donations from our community. We fundraise to cover the costs of students. All donations for this event go towards paying for the cost incurred for the ball. We provide the food and D.J. so the students can dance all night. The ball is held in the Grand Ballroom of the Newark/Fremont Hilton. The students get dressed up and Lifetouch donates their services so that the students have pictures to remember their special night. The night is like a regular ball, except we try to fund the event so the students do not have to pay to participate. Any tax-deductible donations toward the Special Education Ball would be greatly appreciated as many are still needed.
