Brookvale Elementary student, winner of "Do A Good Deed" essay contest
Dr. Colin Yoshida and his staff members for the second time presented the winner of the "Do A Good Deed" essay contest. Melanie Tong, 11-years-old of Brookvale Elementary School with a brand new desktop computer. Melody talked about helping her teachers, doing volunteer works and expressing great concern for her school. It was a very fun event joined by Melody's classmates, teachers and parents last Nov. 15.
Dr. Yoshida was so pleased with the success and support from children sending in their essay and sharing all the good deeds they have done. It's inspiring ..., when you acknowledge what they have contributed, it creates a big impact to children and to people around them" said Dr. Yoshida. His office will be continuing to accept essay entries for next years prize giving day in April, 2008. Children 18-years-old and below are welcome to participate and get the chance to win a brand new desktop computer.
