Musick Elementary School is holding a "Flag Beauty" Ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 7:30 a.m. The Rotary Club of Newark will be presenting a new American flag and a new California State flag to E.L. Musick Elementary School during the PTA sponsored flag ceremony. The old tattered flags will be retired to Cub Scouts Pack 411. This event is the kick off for the "Let's Get Beautiful" campaign. The campaign is spearheaded by caring parents, students, teachers, and staff as an effort to reclaim the school's pride and faith in its students' accomplishments in raising test scores, lessening graffiti, promoting good citizenship, responsibility, safety, and encouraging "can do" attitudes and self esteem. Join us and celebrate our school by attending our presentation of new flags by the Rotary Club of Newark. Our 6th grade class will serve as our color guard.
