Eagle Scouts honored

On October 13 at a ceremony held at Centerville Presbyterian Church, Troop 176 honored Michael Wong, Adam Shawen and Sean Latimer for their ascension to the rank of Eagle Scout-the the highest rank awarded by the Boy Scouts of America.
Michael Wong is a graduate of Washington High School and now attends San Jose State University. For his leadership project, Michael planned and constructed a storage cabinet for Centerville Presbyterian Church. Adam Shawen is a graduate of Irvington High School and now attends California Maritime Academy in Vallejo. For his leadership project, Adam designed and built floating nesting habitats for Western Grebes at Quarry Lakes Regional Park. Sean Latimer is a graduate of Washington High School and attends Chabot College in Hayward. For his leadership project, Sean planned and restored headstones in the historical Centerville cemetery.
