November 7, 2007 > Fremont Pediatric Medical Group joins Kaiser Permanente Fremont Pediatric Medical Group joins Kaiser Permanente Submitted By Johnny Ng Doctors from Fremont Pediatric Medical Group (FPMG) (www.fremontpediatrics.com) will become available to Kaiser Permanente on Jan. 1, 2008. FPMG has served three generations of children in Fremont and the surrounding communities since 1968 - and they will continue to do so under the auspices of Kaiser Permanente (www.kp.org). Pediatricians in the group, all Fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics, are Drs. Dara Hogue, Rebecca Klint, Jane Lande, Kamini Narang, Shefali Shete, Robert E. Sinai, Seymour Steinmetz, and Milton Wong. Patients received a letter from FPMG that explains the change in the practice's affiliation. Most FPMG patients who do not join Kaiser Permanente can continue to be seen by FPMG pediatricians under their current health insurance until Jan. 31, 2008. Many have a choice of health plans and Kaiser Permanente may be an option. Parents can go to www.kp.org/westfremontoffice for more information. "We are pleased to join Kaiser Permanente for a variety of reasons," said FPMG's Dr. Rebecca Klint. "We have many things in common, including our approach to total health, and a strong emphasis on preventive care." Some FPMG patients may choose to follow their pediatrician and become members of Kaiser Permanente; others may prefer to stay with their insurer and choose a new pediatrician. Current patients should work with their insurer to determine their transition plan.
