Blaze is hot

Fremont Blaze, an under-14 House League, formerly known as The Blizzard, has had a running start thus far in the 2007 Fall Season. Out of the four games played thus far, they have lost one, tied one, and won two. In their last game, played early Saturday morning, September 22nd, they played a phenomenal game against the Dragons. Despite the cold and pouring rain, Fremont Blaze won by a score of 4 to 3. The boys showed awesome team work and skillfully pulled together as a group, drawing on each other's strengths and abilities.
The four goals were scored by Clayton Mapelli (1), Angel Lopez (1) and Omar Ceja (2). They were backed by strong forward and defensive players like Ephraim Avancena, Jacob Dutra, Joshua Lee, Adrian Fuentes, and Harish Shanker. Arman Chini and Ryan Habibi were the two goalies for the first half and second half of the game respectively. They each displayed great resilience by holding back numerous attempts to score by the Dragons.
Thanks to the support of parents and especially the leadership of our coach Mr. Mapelli as well as assistant coaches Mr. Lee and Mr. Fuentes the team is looking forward to a great season. Go Fremont Blaze!
