Marin Farmers' Market moves to NewPark Mall
Submitted By Amelia Chapman-Laver
On August 26th, the Marin Farmers Market at Fremont-Irvington will pick up its fruits, vegetables, farmers, and tents and move to Newark at NewPark Mall. NewPark Mall is thrilled to partner with Marin Farmers Market Association (MFMA), which is known for running the best farmers market in the Bay Area. MFMA has invested 13 years in establishing a successful marketplace that has embraced the unique diversity of the Fremont community and has been integral to the viability of the 60-70 local family farms that participate year-round.
When asked what makes this marketplace unique, Market Manager Tyler Thayer, touts the diversity of the market community. "There are so many different countries and cultures represented here. With that we've got a diverse selection of produce, including Vietnamese, Hmong, Chinese, and Filipino vegetables in addition to your American basics. We've got it all. It's a great place to learn how to eat specialty produce from around the world. The farmers market is about getting reconnected to your food and the people who grow it."
Paige Allen, General Manager of NewPark Mall, notes that "the opportunity to share this additional service with our shoppers and the community is something we are very proud of. We are focused on providing a special place and experience at NewPark Mall and our partnership with Marin Farmer's Market is the beginning of a great family tradition."
