South Asian New Mothers Group Starts in Fremont

Narika and Kaiser Fremont announce a monthly South Asian new mother's group meeting on the first Tuesday of every month. The group will from 10- 11:30 at Kaiser Permanente Fremont located at 39400 Paseo Padre Parkway in the heart of Fremont.
The South Asian new mothers group features Kaiser Pediatrician Dr. Shalini Sahi, who will give practical tips for new moms in English, Hindi and Punjabi. Questions like what foods are dangerous for my baby? When should I stop breast feeding? And much more. Mom's will walk away with some practical resources and make some new friends for them and their children along the way.
The group is open to all South Asian mothers and the class is drop in and free. Refreshments will be served. For questions, call Narika at (510) 444- 6068 or email narika@narika.org.
Narika's mission is to promote the empowerment of women in our community to confront and overcome the cycles of domestic violence and exploitation. We will work to actively support women's rights as human rights.
