Local student vies for Miss Teen San Francisco
Reakweeda Zazay of Newark was recently selected to participate in National's 2007 Miss Teen San Francisco pageant competition that will take place on August 12, 2007. Reakweeda learned of her acceptance into this year's competition as Nationals, Inc. announced their selection following a review of her application and an interview session conducted by Pageant Coordinator Patty Niedert.
Ms. Zazay will be competing for a share of over $20,000 in prizes and specialty gifts awarded to contestants at this level. She will compete in the Miss Teen division modeling casual and formal wear. Poise and interview skills will be assessed during the competition. If Ms. Zazay is successful, she will represent San Francisco and surrounding communities at the Cities of America National Competition in Orlando, Florida.
The 18 year-old sophomore at Cal State East Bay student is majoring in Biology and plans to attend medical school following undergraduate work. She graduated with honors from Newark Memorial High School and played soccer on the girl's varsity team. Currently, Ms. Zazay helps others as a private tutor.
