Community forums to be held
The Alameda County Library has begun a new strategic planning process. As part of this exciting process, we will be conducting community forums at various locations throughout the county. Our goal is to learn our communities in depth - what are their needs, issues, and challenges; what do their residents want from the future. The resulting community profiles will be used to help us design library services that will best meet the needs of our citizens.
Well-known consultant, Yolanda Cuesta will facilitate conversations in each of our service areas: Albany, Castro Valley, Dublin, Fremont, Newark, San Lorenzo, and Union City. The public is cordially invited to attend and give input about their communities. Please contact your neighborhood branch library or Library Administration for locations and times. The following forums begin the series: Dublin, Saturday, July 7 from 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.; Albany, Saturday, July 28 from 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.; Union City, Wednesday, August 1 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.; Castro Valley, Wednesday, August 8 from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m.
