Happy Dayz are here again
By Susana Nu–ez
A blend of the two popular productions, the musical "Grease" and Cirque de Soleil is a close but inadequate definition of Circus Chimera's 10-year anniversary show this year - a show that will undoubtedly leave spectators charmed and amazed. Roy Ordaz, Circus Ringmaster and manager, notes that Circus Chimera is unique because the show includes only human performers. He adds that as a substitute for animal acts many visitors expect, Circus Chimera crews scour the earth for the most unique and best performers they can find. So far, audiences have loved the show and attend year after year to show their support.
Circus-goers can again look forward to a tour de force of amazing and mesmerizing acts, all backed by a soundtrack with hits from 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Circus Chimera clowns Alvares and Torales are on the bill, as well as the Sun Acrobats from Beijing, China. The Sun gang's performance of hat juggling, hoop diving, and contortion is nothing short of incredible. Lyubomir Karamitreu and his motorcycle defy laws of gravity and reason as he circles the Globe of Death and Argentinean juggler Raul Cabrillos will stun audiences with his impossible routines. Brother and sister duo Andrea and Gino Treblinka skate an impossible routine and dancing of the Chimerettes will keep the crowd humming and swaying throughout the show.
Outside the 60 ft high Big Top tent, visitors can find the usual circus goodies: snow cones and cotton candy, and even a train ride to pass the time before or after the show. The event provides quality entertainment for the whole family at an affordable price Come on out and celebrate the Circus Chimera's 10th anniversary and their 4th year working with LOV!
