Free Summer Reading Program at Milpitas Library

The Milpitas Public Library is gearing up for their Summer Reading Program. There will be fun and learning activities all summer starting June 21, 2007.

Although sign-ups have already begun, there is still time and space available and everyone is welcome to participate.

Elementary school children are required to read at least six books in order to receive a certificate of reading achievement and a free paperback book. And the books must be read by August 1, 2007.

Every Thursday at 3 p.m. there will be a special program presented by the Milpitas Library.

The theme for this year is "Get a clue@ Your Library".

Following is a list of dates and activities:

June 21 Music with Gary Lapow
June 28 Mime Fintushel
July 5 Puppets with Tony Borders - Mystery of the Missing Mutt
July 12 Mystery craft
July 19 Storytelling with Lirk Waller
July 26 Magic with Dan Chan

August 2 closing program - drop in between 1 and 5 p.m. to pick up your certificate and choose your paperback book. For more information Contact: 408-262-1172 ext. 3600.
