For your listening pleasure, Milpitas Parks and Recreation Services continues its Summer Concert Series this year by providing three outstanding shows. Bring your family and friends to these family style concerts and spend a relaxing evening listening to great music. These casual concerts are great for bringing your own picnic dinner, or purchasing a barbecue dinner at the July 24 concert. Concerts are held at Murphy Park (Yellowstone Ave.) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., every other Tuesday. June 26 - ZEBOP! July 10 - Hurricane Sam & The Hotshots July 24 - Silicon Valley Houserockers New this year for your enjoyment, "Movies in the Park!" We have joined with the Milpitas Community Library to bring a fun, family-themed event providing an outdoor community movie. Movies will be shown on the grass area by the Civic Center Plaza, beginning when the sun sets. Due to licensing restrictions, movie titles can not be advertised. Call the Milpitas Parks and Recreation Services Department at (408) 586-3210 for movie titles. Both films are Rated G. Movies will be shown on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. on August 9 and August 23.
