Training reporters of abuse and neglect

I have worked in the field of social services for 15 years, and for many of those years I have worked with abused and neglected children and youth. I am proposing a statewide initiative, entitled "Training for Mandated Reporters of Child Abuse and Neglect."

My vision:
To induce social change on a statewide level and within the various unified school districts.

The Problem:
All Educators, ages K-12th grades need more training in the recognition, detection and reporting process of suspected cases of Child Abuse and Neglect.

The Remedy:
Early intervention.
Educators become more trained.

The outcome:
More Educators making reports to Child Protective Services (CPS).
More lives of children would be saved.

Now I am responsible for the gathering of more than 477, 000 signatures before the initiative can be considered to be placed on the ballot for the upcoming primary election. This has to be a team effort and I need a host of volunteers to assist me with the signature gathering.
