June 12, 2007 > Auditions for Sound of Music Auditions for Sound of Music Submitted By Belinda Maloney Stage 1 Community Theatre will be presenting "The Sound of Music," the multiple Tony and Academy award-winning show, from September 7-22. Auditions will be held Monday, June 25 and Tuesday, 26 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. (7 p.m. to 8 p.m. for the Von Trapp Children and Rolf roles, 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. for all adult roles) at Newark Memorial High School. Prepare an up tempo Broadway style song (not from "The Sound of Music") and bring sheet music in your key. An accompanist will be provided-no tapes or CDs. Dress comfortably for a short dance routine. All roles are available. Non-traditional casting, no pay, non-equity, no appointment necessary. Callbacks are Sat., June 30, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rehearsal schedule is Monday through Thursday 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. beginning July 9. Performances will be September 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, and 22, 2007.
