June 5, 2007 > Young Actors' Theatre Announces Summer Camp Master Classes Young Actors' Theatre Announces Summer Camp Master Classes Submitted By John Ainsworth The Young Actors' Theatre Camp is proud to announce Master Class Instructors, Josh Peck (Nickelodeon's "Drake and Josh") and Deborah Wilson (FOX's "MADtv") who will be attending the upcoming YATC Summer Session, June 24-29th, 2007. YATC is a one week overnight theatre training camp held at YMCA Camp Loma Mar in Loma Mar, California. YATC is designed to help young adults ages 8-18 discover and develop the artist within. Program Director, Shawn Ryan started the program 8 years ago in Berkeley, CA. By inviting working professionals to come teach at YATC, students receive valuable instruction and guidance on how to become a "Working Actor!" "This is what I wish I'd had growing up!" said Mr. Ryan, "The opportunity to learn from professional actors like Josh Peck and Deborah Wilson. This is like taking professional classes in Hollywood!" He went onto say that YATC is "Committed" to bringing professional actors, singers, dancers and casting directors to the Bay Area to teach YATC's students. "This gives talented Bay Area students valuable information." he said. "Information such as the differences between acting for theatre vs. film and television, how to conduct themselves in an audition, and even how to get an agent." He concluded, "Our students learn from professional actors not only to have fun acting, but also how to be in the business of acting!"
