Graduation ceremonies set for the California School for the Deaf

With confidence to move on in life, 50 Deaf and Hard of Hearing students will graduate in the California School for the Deaf's 135th commencement ceremony. The program will be held in the school gymnasium at 3 p.m. on Friday, June 8. The school is located at 39350 Gallaudet Drive in Fremont.

CSD graduates have a remarkable record. 82 percent of the graduates will go to either two-year or four-year colleges to continue their education; 18 percent follow a career directly after graduation. Brittany Comegna, with a stellar grade-point average of 4.0, has been bestowed the title of the Valedictorian. Clara Baldwin, with a grade-point average of 3.8, has been honored with the title of Salutatorian.
The California School for the Deaf has an international reputation for its high quality educational program. CSD is a fully accredited, state-funded school for students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing living in Northern California. The school also provides services to the families with deaf children.
