New Symphony Executive Named
The Fremont Symphony Orchestra has completed its search for an executive director. Board President Jean Louie announced the hiring of Ms. Dyane Hendricks as the new chief executive of the orchestra at the Pops Concert post-concert reception on May 12. The concert closed the orchestra's 43rd season.
Ms. Hendricks has extensive experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, public relations and special events management. Her most recent position was Manager of Fund Development and Marketing for the Peninsula Conflict Resolution Center. Ms. Hendricks has administered trade associations, managed special events and been a free-lance writer. She served as Executive Director for The Lawyers' Club of San Francisco for seven years. Prior to her non profit career, Ms Hendricks was a reporter for local newspapers in Northern and Southern California. She earned a B.A. in Journalism from San Jose State University
Tickets are now on sale for the 2007-2007 season which includes the Classical Top 40 with music by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Debussy and Chang a Glorious Strings concerts; the Best of Beethoven; a spring Pop Concert; and four complete performances of the Nutcracker Ballet. The Symphony will also join the Fremont Opera in presenting La Boheme in August.
