Depot Day in Centerville
Want to see a magician eat fire, sample a variety of culinary delights or explore a train? Visitors can do all that and more at Depot Day, a free community event on Saturday, June 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Bill Ball Plaza near the Centerville Train Depot in Fremont.
Sponsored by the Centerville Business and Community Association (CBCA), Depot Day commemorates the re-opening of the Centerville Depot in 1999. This is the eighth year CBCA has hosted the event.
This year's event promises to be an entertainment blockbuster. At 12:30 p.m. Mad Science will present a show that includes a super spectacular bubbling potion, demonstrations with dry ice, and other experiments that illustrate the three states of matter. At 1:30 p.m. magician and juggler Jeremy will dazzle children and adults alike with magic, origami, balloon animals, and a fire show. Other activities at Depot Day will include live music, food booths, and a train exhibit.
