The pantry is bare

League of Volunteers (LOV) is turning away people in need - the shelves of the emergency food pantry are empty. Although the generosity of the community is wonderful, it is important to remember that those in need require assistance year round. LOV is available five days a week for those less fortunate and acts as a back-up food source since some other local food pantries are not open full time.

It is hard to turn away families that are hungry and we are asking for the community to help us as it has done so often through our years of service. The next time you shop for your family, add a can or two or other packaged goods to the shopping cart - please don't forget baby food. You can bring the food to LOV's Community Service Center, 36120 Ruschin Dr., Newark (former Ruschin School).
