May 1, 2007 > Charlotte's Web
"Charlotte's Web," E.B. White's charming story of love and friendship, will be the spring family theatre production at Cal State East Bay. Directed by A. Fajilan, the cast includes humans from the 6-ish to 60-ish range, and puppets of all sizes.
"This is only Fajilan's first year, but already I see her inspiring students and faculty alike to wonderful and imaginative ideas for her shows. I'm sure children will enjoy the playful puppets and climbing Charlotte the cast and crew are creating for our unique production," said Thomas Hird, chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance.
"Come laugh as Wilbur becomes the 'Media Darling/ The IT Pig' of the County Fair Circuit. The silliness begins with tremendous help from his best friend Charlotte, Cavatica, the spider, Templeton the Rat - his partner-in-crime; the Giddy Goose; the Cranky Sheep; the Mischievous Lamb; the Thoughtful Gander; and, of course, Faithful Fern. Children of all ages will find something to smile about! See you there," said Fajilan.
This show will also be performed the week of May 7-11 for school children. Reservations are being taken at (510) 885-3118.
