Fremont family returns to open Kidsport Athletic Uniforms

A ribbon cutting on Thursday, April 26 will mark the opening of Kidsport Athletic Uniforms and the return of the Gould family, Chet, Chris and Matt to Fremont. The family spent 22 years in Fremont before opening Kidsport Athletic Uniforms in Vacaville. Chet has been involved with youth sports all of his adult life, including coaching, officiating and serving on youth athletic boards. He also was the first full-time broadcasting instructor at Ohlone College and oversaw the operations of KOHL.

Chris Gould, a graduate of Kennedy High School and Silicon Valley College is Kidsport's graphic designer who develops unique designs for schools, teams, business and special event promotions. His design for Heineken is displayed throughout the world. Matt Gould, also a graduate of Kennedy High School, received his Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Cal State Hayward (now Cal State University East Bay). He has served as Recreation Supervisor for the City of Fremont and Freshman head basketball coach at Mission San Jose High School.
