Earth Day festivities in Fremont
The Tri-City Ecology Center, in conjunction with the City of Fremont, will host a number of free family activities celebrating Earth Day on Saturday, April 21, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the Teen Center in Central Park. The Earth Day Family Fair will provide many opportunities for residents to participate in learning activities, games, free raffle prizes and give-aways, entertainment, food, and recycling. Over 20 booths will be set up at the Teen Center offering a variety of information, food, fun, and prizes.
In addition, a recycling drop-off site will be set up from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot at the old Fremont City Government building for E-Recycling (electronics), household batteries, eye glasses and hearing aids, Teddy bears and other stuffed animals, along with a Mercury thermometer exchange. All residents and businesses are invited to bring TVs, computers, electronic office equipment, and personal electronics to this second annual E-waste drop-off event.
