Local author, Bruce MacGregor, has just completed Newark: A City at Fifty, a continuation of the story begun in his 1976 book titled, The Centennial History of Newark. Beginning with the city's incorporation, his current book takes readers on a history journey through 2005, completing a recounting of some two hundred years of Newark history. MacGregor profiles 35 past and present leaders in the community, including members of government, schools, churches, and civic organizations.
