Bay Area scholarships availableby Clay Merrill
The University of Phoenix will be awarding thirty $500 scholarships to prospective students in the Bay Area who register for classes in November and December in celebration of the University’s 30-year anniversary. Residents who attend informational meetings at learning centers throughout the area will be included in a drawing for the scholarships. Fifteen will be awarded in November and fifteen in December.
“We are thrilled to be offering these scholarships as part of University of Phoenix’s 30th Anniversary,” said Travis Allen, Campus Director for University of Phoenix’s Bay Area Campus. “University of Phoenix has a rich history in the Bay Area and has provided educational opportunities for many residents. These scholarships are our way of saying ‘Thank You’ for 30 years of success and encouraging more people to take advantage of the wonderful educational opportunities at University of Phoenix.”
The University of Phoenix provides Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral degree programs in a variety of fields including Information Technology, Criminal Justice, Business, and the newly included Psychology and Communication programs. University instructors are full-time professionals in their field of study who offer students a real world perspective via method-teaching as opposed to a theoretical curriculum found in many other college programs.
Informational meetings will be held at all local learning centers in the Bay Area on November 15 and December 15 at 6 p.m. Learning Centers are located in Concord, Oakland, San Jose, Fremont, San Francisco, and Pleasanton.
