Target kicks off partnership with Salvation Army

Target and The Salvation Army have joined together to kick off the 2006 Christmas season with a multi-faceted partnership, including the launch of the Target/Salvation Army Angel Giving Tree, an online version of The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program. Target will donate $1,000,000 to support the launch of this new online program, and invite its guests to give to The Salvation Army as well. In addition, Target will support The Salvation Army by donating 100% of profits from the sales of a limited edition Harvey Lewis angel ornament accented with red SWAROVSKI crystals.

Target launches a virtual giving tree on Target.com/salvationarmy On Thursday, November 16 Target launched the Target/Salvation Army Angel Giving Tree, where Target.com visitors can purchase a virtual ornament for any chosen dollar amount to provide new clothing, toys or food to families in need.  After purchasing an angel, visitors can then personalize their angels on Target.com/salvationarmy by choosing the angel’s color, wing shape and wing pattern.

Target guests can purchase limited edition angel ornament to benefit The Salvation Army In addition to the $1,000,000 donation and the Angel Giving Tree, Target is supporting The Salvation Army with a limited edition Harvey Lewis angel ornament accented with red SWAROVSKI crystals.  The angel ornaments are now available for purchase in Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com.
