Pediatric AIDS fundraiser
For a distinctive and meaningful Christmas gift, consider an “Angel of Love” doll handmade by Sandra Slater. She will be at Trader Joe’s in The Fremont Hub, November 17, 18 and 19, selling her handmade “Angels of Love” dolls to raise money for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. This will be the ninth year of fundraising by Slater, a former California teacher.
Slater crafts two types of angels. One is stuffed and sells for $30; the other is flat and sells for $15. They both can hang on walls. Donors may choose from Christmas angels, patriotic angels and floral angels. All Angels of Love are faceless because AIDS is a “faceless” disease that may strike anybody of any age.
