An evening at the Starlight Clubby Mona Shah
Put on your finest attire from the '30s and '40s and step back in time to the hip “supper clubs” of the 1930’s and 1940s, when New York’s Cotton Club and Copacabana were the places to be and newly discovered jazz was the music to be heard.
The Chabot College Foundation is proudly bringing back those bygone days by inviting you to an “Evening at the Starlight Club”, the East Bay’s own virtual nightclub venue, where you can dress in the attire of the era and enjoy live entertainment, gourmet cuisine, and dancing till the wee hours of the morning.
Featured guest Ledisi, a Chabot alumna, who is fast becoming one of the music industry’s renowned jazz singers, will return to her alma mater to help recreate the atmosphere with sultry songs of yesteryear accompanied by outstanding Big Band music. You are guaranteed to have a unique, fun-filled evening and the chance to contribute to Chabot’s world-famous music program.
So mark your calendar for this important fall event on Saturday, November 18. For ticket reservation, please call the event foundation hotline at (510) 723-6854.
