Silent Hitchcock NightMurder, Mayhem and Main Courses by Mona Shah
The Niles Essanay Film Museum is gearing up for their annual fundraiser with a night that promises to bewitch. The evening begins with dinner and dessert, catered by the Essanay Cafˇ. You'll have free shuttle transportation to and from Belvoir Springs, a Hitchcock double feature with musical accompaniment, an opportunity to bid on a variety of silent auction items and other special surprises.
All proceeds will go towards the Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum and Edison theatre, whose mission it is to preserve local history as it pertains to the movie making business and the unique role that Niles had in the movie industry.
Schedule of Activities: 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.- An optional Museum tour These tours will include exploring the entire theatre including the original projection booth and the museum's film vault. 5:30 p.m.- Shuttle ride to Belvoir Springs Social time including appetizers and wine. Dinner to follow. 7:45 p.m.-Shuttle ride to whisk you to the theatre. Silent auction to be followed by Hitchcock films, "Blackmail" and "The Manxman."
