AlmaVia Assisted Living in Union City will celebrate its one year anniversary with a special event, "Celebrating our Traditions" on Thursday, October 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. at AlmaVia, located at 33883 Alvarado-Niles Road.
Free and open to the public, the celebration will include tours of the community, entertainment and a selection of tasty foods from five different cultural themes including Asian, Latin, African, European and the Pacific.
In addition to all the themed selections, guests can also enjoy healthy and refreshing sugar free Jump for Joy Smoothies during the celebration. Recipes will also be handed out for those who want to enjoy the refreshing drink at home.
AlmaVia Assisted Living is part of the city's senior village, which includes AlmaVia's assisted living retirement community, two senior apartment projects and the Ralph and Mary Ruggieri Senior Center.
Serving those in need of assisted living and dementia care services, AlmaVia Assisted Living is equipped with spacious apartments, beautiful outdoor gardens, activity and exercise rooms, a library and dining rooms.
The Gardens Dementia Care Program combines old-fashioned care and compassion with the current programming techniques so that residents who suffer from Alzheimer's disease and other dementias can benefit from a residential environment while receiving the care and services they need. AlmaVia also offers Spiritual Care Services for all of its residents.
