On Wednesday, Sept. 20, the Under-14 Girls House Team, the Scream, won their second consecutive game to bring their record for the 2006 season to 2 wins and 1 loss. The Scream opened the game pushing forward and attacked the Blue Streak's goal from the outset. Melody Chen was on fire and scored 4 goals, including one penalty (PK), to give the Scream a 4-0 half-time lead. After the break, the Blue Streak recomposed themselves and gained more confidence as the second half progressed.
Hard work by the Scream's defense of Sara Talooiin goal, Sarina Utamsing, Christina Kim, Selina Mahesri and Erica Ohye kept the Blue Streak scoreless until the final minutes of the game. A revamped Scream forward line of Adrinne Fong, Megan Dunn, Maryam Khademi and Zarin Kahn led to several breakaways creating a couple of scoring chances, but the Scream failed to add to its first half lead and had to settle for a 4-1 victory. |
