The Sound of Music at Morrissonby Nancy Engle
The Douglas Morrisson Theatre, 22311 North Third Street in Hayward, will present the delightful family musical, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, September 29 through October 29.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC features music by Richard Rodgers and Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II. The book was written by the writing team of Howard Lindsay and Russell Crouse. The story is based upon "The Story of the Trapp Family Singers" by Maria von Trapp. THE SOUND OF MUSIC contains many hit songs, including "Edelweiss", "My Favorite Things", "Climb Ev'ry Mountain", "Do-Re-Me", "Sixteen Going on Seventeen", as well as the title song, "The Sound of Music."
Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Special Thursday evening performances will be present at 8:00 p.m. on October 19 and 26. Tickets are $22 for Adults, $18 for Seniors, and $14 for Juniors. The Douglas Morrisson Theatre box office is open Tuesday through Fridays between 12:30 and 5:30 p.m. and one hour prior to curtain.
