Symphony season opens in Fremontby Eman Isadiar
Founded in 1964, the Fremont Symphony Orchestra is now hailed by renowned music critics as one of the region's finest fully professional orchestras. The Fremont Symphony Orchestra begins its 43rd season on Saturday, September 23 at 8 p.m. at the Smith Center of Ohlone College with an impressive program including the celebrated "Symphony Fantastique" by Berlioz, Prokofiev's second piano concerto with 16-year old soloist Kenric Tam, and Mark Volkert's "Hymnus", a new work commissioned by the Fremont Symphony Orchestra.
