Where's Charlie? He's at the Park!
Central Park is the place to be on Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th to celebrate Fremont's 50th year as a city. As part of the festivities, children can search for figures of Charlie Chaplin in the five major display areas at the park, using these game cards or cards they get at the Future display. They may also spy a live Charlie peaking at them from behind a tree or strolling down a path, cane in hand.
Where's Charlie activities culminate in prize drawings for children, youth and adults, featuring prizes such as bikes, electronic games, one year passes to all East Bay Regional Parks, full body massages, movie passes and more. The Future Team is sponsoring "Where's Charlie?" as well as performances of "Frog and Toad", poetry classes for children and much more.
Admission to Celebrate Fremont is free. Hours are 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, September 9 and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday, September 10. Visit the Celebrate Fremont website at www.celebratefremont.org for more information. |
