Senior Center: Wing A: Heritage "Museum" Exhibit: "Take a Walk through Fremont's History"
Presented as a walk-through "museum" showcasing different eras of Fremont's history.
Washington Township through 1955, Fremont: The New City: 1956-1977, Fremont: A United Nations City: 1977 - 2006, geared to interest all ages.
Presented by Fremont Stories: An Oral History Project team: with photo displays, and on-going Videos of Fremont residents presented by era;
"My Story" on-the-spot recordings (3-5 min.), Slide presentations, historical pictures & artifacts of Fremont residents; and the Heritage Tour Team: On-going video presentations of Historic and significant sites, pictures & mementos, artifacts and interactive activities.
With support from: the mission peak heritage team: Ardenwood / Patterson House, the Shinn House, Museum of Local History, Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum, Niles Canyon Railway, Niles Depot & Society for the Preservation of Carter Railroad Resources, Ohlone ancestors, Ch. 26 MVROP, Math-Science Nucleus Museum and many Fremont volunteers. |
