Paddy's welcomes the future of filmby Julie Grabowski
Aspiring filmmakers with big screen dreams have the opportunity to reveal their talent and vision at the 2nd Annual Paddy's Film Festival in Union City. Students and amateur moviemakers of all ages are encouraged to submit movies no longer than 20 minutes in length for Friday night screenings in September. The collected films will be shown in the courtyard behind Paddy's Coffee House from 8:30 p.m. onward. Submissions should be in DVD format and can be of any genre, but must be suitable for a general viewing audience. There is no cost to participate. All that's required is a love of film and the desire to share it. Submissions must be received by Aug. 29.
Applications are available at Paddy's Coffee House or online at www.paddyscoffee.com and www.unioncity.org. For submission questions and further information call Paddy Iyer at (510) 324-8572 or Chris Valuckas at (510) 675-5328.
