Still stoked and surfingby Richard Bray
Surfers and seniors alike will enjoy a vibrant one-hour film documentary about inspiring well-spent lives that offers a totally fresh look at successful aging. Narrated by actor Beau Bridges, "Surfing for Life" profiles nine legendary surfers who model successful aging by staying active and engaged into their 70s, 80s and 90s.
Through interviews, contemporary day-in-the-life footage, and a wealth of rare archival material, this award-winning film provides an eloquent and powerful antidote to much of the negative images of aging. So wax up your board and ride the big one to the Newark Library on Tuesday, Aug. 22 at 1:30 p.m. and enjoy an afternoon of how to stay young.
