After more than five years of planning, repair work on WINGS, Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments transitional housing apartment complex in South Hayward will finally begin on Aug. 1. The work will include seismic retrofitting, fixing outside drainage problems, replacing floors and some bathroom fixtures, and inside painting.
Due to the extent of the work, our Wings residents need to be relocated for at least four months beginning July 31. We are counting on our reliable and generous SAVE supporters, to help with this undertaking. We are in need of:

One and two bedroom apartments for 4-6 months, effective July 31; preferably located in South Hayward or vicinity. Any discount of security deposit or rent qualifies as a tax-deductible donation to SAVE.

Licensed movers for 6 two-bedroom apartments and 4 one-bedroom apartments. Move date approximately July 31. Move from location is South Hayward, move to location TBD. Any discount or donation qualifies as a tax-deductible donation to SAVE.

Moving boxes and packing tape (beginning immediately).

Monthly bus passes to ease additional transportation expenses associated with the relocation of residents.

Grocery store gift cards to compensate for additional food costs associated with the relocation of residents.
