MUSICMAKERS Summer Band Camp is a free day camp currently taking place in Hayward.  Kids, parent volunteers, and camp counselors have been meeting from 9:00am - 12:00pm Monday through Thursday for three weeks now.  Almost 50 children have participated in this first year of the camp.  Most of the campers are from the south Hayward area, but some come from as far away as Fremont. 

All materials for the students are provided free of charge including musical instruments, music, and other supplies.  Campers participate in many classes daily such as Intro to Music, Instrumental sectionals, Band, and Music Listening.  Each student also receives free weekly individual lessons. 

The final camp concert will take place on July 16th at South Hayward United Methodist Church, 628 Schafer Road, Hayward, CA.  Everyone is invited to the concert which is free and open to the public.
