InHealth Channel Celebrates First Anniversaryby Washington Hospital
InHealth, a Washington Hospital Channel broadcasting throughout Fremont, Newark and Union City on Comcast Channel 78, is celebrating its first birthday in July. During the past year, InHealth has made great strides in developing programs that focus on educating Tri-City area residents about a variety of health and safety related topics. Producing first-rate original health programming specifically geared toward Washington Township Health Care District residents is one of the most important goals behind the InHealth Channel.
As InHealth enters its second year, its programming line-up will continue to reflect Washington Hospital’s commitment to better serving the local community by providing the viewing audience an opportunity to take advantage of hospital resources from home, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The success of the series Voices InHealth, an interview-style program hosted by Barbara Kostick, M.D., medical director of Washington Hospital’s Community Health Services, is a prime example of one of the ways that InHealth is connecting with members of the community.
During the past year, Voices InHealth has featured representatives from the Fremont Fire Department, the Alameda County Public Health Department and others offering their professional insight about the services their departments provide to the public.
“Voices InHealth has become a dynamic forum for experts to share and discuss health and safety issues that affect all of us,” says Dr. Kostick. “The InHealth Channel has been an exciting undertaking thus far and I look forward to working on more programs that entertain and educate local viewers.”
InHealth keeps you connected
InHealth programming will continue to include broadcasts of District Board meetings and Washington Hospital’s popular Health and Wellness classes, allowing community members to stay connected without leaving home. You can count on InHealth to keep you well informed about vital health topics through entertaining, educational and informative shows dealing with medical and non-medical health-related subjects.
