U.S. Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA) honored Fremont's Jeremy Nguyen of Moreau Catholic High School as winner of the 25th Annual Congressional Arts Competition for California's Thirteenth Congressional District. Nguyen's painting, titled "The Point," was selected in a district-wide competition and is currently on display in the hallway between the Cannon House office building and the United States Capitol in Washington, DC.
Students from high schools throughout the district submitted entries. Members of the area's fine arts community served as judges and chose Jeremy's work as the winner. The competition was hosted at the San Leandro Museum and Art Gallery. |
