Banditos ride againby Arathi Satish
During the 1800s, Joaquin Murrieta among other banditos and gunslingers frequented the lawless townships of Niles and Mission San Jose. Life was raw and could be abruptly short for those living on the edge of society. East Bay Regional Park District Supervising Naturalist Erica Herron will share slides, stories and folklore about these hombres and our local "Wild West."
"The Banditos of Mission San Jose" will ride into the Fremont Main Library on Wednesday, June 21, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. This presentation is part of Fremont's celebration of the city's 50th anniversary; part of a series of programs highlighting the history of our city.
Seating limits will be observed. The library is wheelchair accessible. An ASL interpreter will be provided for this program if requested seven days in advance.
For more information call (510) 745-1401.
